Gypsy Schaeffer - Peace Time Records 2003
The debut album of a pianoless quartet that I enjoyed playing with in Boston. Andy Voelker - alto and composition, Joel Yennoir - trombone, Chris Punis - drums. This was a fun album to record, with a mix of some really straight ahead and some really free music, all driven forward by the bucket loads of personality that Andy heaps into his music.

Leslie Patten and Rodolfo Muñoz - Sandunga - Mushik 2004
The fact is that I only play on a few cuts of this album, but it is a great find for fans of percussion. Leslie and Rodolfo are two Peruvian percussionists who are also well versed in Cuban and Brazilian music. In the tracks on this album they borrow freely from vairous afroamerican traditions to create their own new sound.
